Winster, a conservation village in the Peak District National Park’s White Peak section, is a very lovely place with a charming 17th century market house at its heart and numerous majestic 17th and 18th century residences, several of which are three storeys high. Main Street, East Bank, and West Bank are connected by alleyways known as ‘ginnels,’ which are well worth investigating. The Morris dancers, the annual Shrove Tuesday pancake race, the Wakes events in June, and the Secret Gardens of Winster event in July are all well-known in Winster. A well-stocked, community-owned general store with a Post Office is located within the town.
