As one of the largest reedbeds in Essex, Stanford Warren nature reserve is a breeding ground for cetti’s warblers, reed warblers, aand sedge warblers which all breed here, as well as the common cuckoo which uses these birds to host its eggs.
Please note, dogs are welcome on the reserve, but must be kept under effective control.
