The village is home to Whitwell Wood, spanning over 170 hectares waiting to be explored. Derbyshire is packed with places to visit. Worksop is just a short drive away, offering a selection of amenities as well as a garden, perfect to sit and have a picnic. The steel city of Sheffield is within driving distance and is certainly worth a visit, along with Chesterfield also nearby.
